Tong Ling Tiger Stripe Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring is suitable with under floor heating. With high density and superior durability and non-splits, it is ideal for public houses, bars, shops, offices, industrial buildings and commercial, retail and heavy traffic areas in the home. Tong Ling Tiger Stripe Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring has an unique texture by the mixture of natural colour and caramel colour strand woven bamboo. Because this is not a surface stain, Tong Ling caramel strand woven bamboo flooring retains its colour even after sanding. Finished Tong Ling strand woven bamboo floors have a rich texture that are extremely durable at an incredible 2820 PSI, which is about as hard as iron wood (2890 PSI) or Brazilian cherry (2820 PSI) but Tong Ling strand woven bamboo is much easier to work with, and more affordable too. Tong Ling Tiger Stripe Strand Woven Bamboo Flooring is created by mechanically stripping 4 to 6 year old Mao bamboo stalks, then after boiling in a water and boric acid solution to remove sugars (a termite attractant) and to inhibit fungus and mold growth. The strips are dried and the material is woven with Dyno, an extremely low VOC plasticizer from Norway. Then it is crushed in a 2000-ton heat press that operates at 265F. This strand woven board is then milled in a German, laser-guided mill that makes very accurate cuts so each board you receive is cut just like every other board that comes out of the shipping carton. After milling, the strand woven boards are sanded and coated with a 6-coat build-up process with Aluminum Oxide Finish. Tong Ling strand woven bamboo is extremely durable and very easy to care for or refinish. Tongue-and-groove strand woven bamboo flooring installs like conventional wood floors which are milled with tongue and grooves on all four sides so no special installation techniques are required. Our material is so advanced that it can be nailed, glued or floated over a thin foam mat where only the edges are glued.
